I'm in serious need of some help, lol! I have an Overland Donner bag that I've been using since DD1 got out of diapers. :bag:

It's a great bag, don't get me wrong. However, I'd love to have something that's cuter, not necessarily canvas, but with similar functionality.

This would be for school pick-ups & park days. You know, when you need to haul around drinks & snacks, phone & wallet, but would like to have hands-free capability.

Thanks!

I got this one for a recent trip
http://www.zappos.com/product/7934029/color/3

It was awesome. It held a bottle of water, mini umbralla, wallet, snacks (3-4 lara bars), cell phone, and random other junk. It is cute (although not high fashion). It is waterproof -- it was out in many rain storms and everything was bone dry inside.

I JUST got a Roots Village bag in yellow and its really nice. The leather is soooo nice. Lots of colors to choose from and a very good price for the quality.

I've posted about it before, and i LOVE my Sak Pax cross body bag. You can change the strap to carry it different ways, or remove the strap completely.

I have the regular size, not the large. But I think it's really roomy.

I'm ISO of a good cross-body bag right now too. I want something to carry to the park this summer and on outtings to the zoo, etc. So I was actually considering the Donner, or the Ebags Piazza, because they are lightweight and easy to wipe clean, but I also want something cute, not so sporty/utilitarian......

I'd love to hear suggestions as well! I have two girls, 3 and 5, and no more diapers, but I do carry water bottles, snacks, small first aid kit for them, in addition to my wallet, cell, keys, etc. And during the week I watch a 7 mos. old baby, but would only need room for sunhat and paci in the bag, as I keep the diaper bag in my car when we go to parks.

31 makes a cute crossbody shoulder bag. You can have it monogrammed.
Lesportsac is great too, but still fairly sporty.
Vera Bradley has quite a few crossbody bags in various sizes.

Go check out some place like Marshalls or TJMaxx too. They often have a variety of styles.

I get tons of compliments on this Boden one. There is similar style as well, and the strap length is adjustable and the ends swivel. I love the oilcloth too.

I really like my Donner bag in terms of functionality. It's probably why I've been using it for 4+ years and I haven't found a great replacement for it.

I picked up a Lesportsac (wow, haven't owned one since HS, lol!) at Nordstrom Rack. It wasn't a crossbody, but a tote bag. It'll be good for those days when I just have to carry a bunch of stuff. I call it my park/ restaurant bag.

Ooh - this is cute. ACtually, I think I like the size of this one instead: http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Womens-Accessories/Bags/AM160/Womens-Oil-Cloth-Pocket-Bag.html

Unfortunately, they are out of the print I like.

I'm also eyeing these fossil bags: http://www.fossil.com/en_US/shop/women/handbag_silhouettes/crossbody/key_per_crossbody-zb5125p.html?parent_category_rn=331138&departmentCategoryId=331097&N=0&Ns=p_wsc4%7C0%7C%7Cp_weight%7C0&pn=c&cm_vc=331141&rec=31&imagePath=ZB5125815

These are smaller than what I was thinking but since I bought the LeSport Sac Tote, I'm thinking I can get away with a smaller cross body for when I just have to do a quick errand/or school pick-up and don't need to carry the kitchen sink with me.

it is called the organizing shoulder bag by thirty-one. I really like it and cross body is so much easier with my kids. wish I had gotten one earlier!

my mom got me this Baggallini Hobo Tote for my birthday
http://www.zappos.com/baggallini-hobo-tote-black?zlfid=111&recoName=zap_pdp_sub

It's like a small tote. it has a long strap, and i always wear it crossbody. I LOVE that there are 4 pockets on the outside of the bag; i put my singlasses in one, my phone in one, my keys in one and the last one usually has my shopping list or whatever receipts i got that day. I also LOVE LOVE LOVE that the lining is a different color than the outside of the bag--it makes it so much easier to see inside and find things. it's also a really lightweight material.

the Baggallini site shows tons more color options than zappos has

Just bought this in black last night -

http://www.zappos.com/timbuk2-harriet-shoulder-bag-medium-mahogany-brown-tusk-grey

It's sporty, but sleek. The (very cute) college kid working at EMS told me he liked it better than the other bag I was considering (this one: http://www.ems.com/product/index.jsp?productId=11338048&cp=3677352.11373430.3696605) because it looked less casual and was more versatile. I am going to use it today, and hopefully I like it!

I also love my Bagallini although I have an even smaller/more compact one which holds a wallet, keys, Purell, iPhone, gum, small container of snacks, small flashlight, EpiPen, my inhaler, a couple of diapers, small packet of wipes and probably a lot more if I wanted to fill it up. I've also used it for travel with all 4 of our passports, air tickets, etc.

I got mine at the Container Store! I see that it's currently on sale for $59.

That's an awesome looking bag, especially in yellow. GP, your website has so many comments - so cool that you have a fan following (other than us, of course)! ;)

I just bought a crossbody by The Sak at Macy's the other night. I got a great deal on it too- it was marked down from to $50, and I used a $20 off $50 coupon, so I only paid $30 for a nice leather bag. It seems like really nice quality leather too and its soooo light and comfortable to wear. I like the fact that the strap isn't leather because I find that leather straps usually dig into my shoulder uncomfortably. I also really like the colors- its black with 2 different color metallic panels. Seems like that color is from last season (hence the deal :)) so its not available online but this is what it looks like-its nicer IRL actually--http://www.amazon.com/The-SAK-Iris-Cross-Body-Metallic/sim/B003PKU17E/2

If you click on it, you can see which colors are available. I'm getting the feeling that you may be looking for something colorful though. Zappos had it in a cool snakeskin and silvery color.

Just had to say I saw two Baggallini bags at TJMaxx today. One was the City Bagg:
http://shop.baggallini.com/baggallini-cty289-city-bagg/207571/455714

And one was the Town Bagg:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BAGGALLINI-Town-Crossbody-Bagg-Shoulder-Messenger-Bag-KHAKI-NWT-/221006374665#vi-content

Both were $24.99, in black and dark gray colors.
