do you like this rug? http://www.companyc.com/handmade-area-rugs/porcelain-mocha/18700.htm

i kind of love it. but i'm a little scared that maybe it's too much for the nursery

we painted the room a lovely light orange - looks almost like a creamsicle on the walls (http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/desertview it looks kind of pinky on my screen, but IRL it's definitely orange)

anyway, would this rug be too much? maybe with pale yellow lamps and/or window treatments. we don't do much in the way of bedding b/c i only use the clouds and stars zip sheets, so there wouldn't be competing patterns in the crib.

furniture is dark wood - http://www.rominakidsfurniture.com/?g=collections-nerva-romina in bruno rosso

thanks for your feedback

I think that as long as you keep everything else in the room simple (bedding, etc) it would be OK.

Love the rug! I think if you did what you described above (and keep it as the sort of focal point of the room), it would look great.

I think it is beautiful! As long as you keep everything else relatively simple, it will go great. And I agree, it is a rug that can grow with your child.

It is beautiful! I wouldn't do any crazy patterns but I think it will be beautiful in a nursery.

thanks, guys! yes, would keep everything else very simple. i do really love it. appreciate the feedback - since no one else knows we know that it's a girl, i can't ask anyone's opinion IRL...other than DH. and his response is always the same - "i dunno. i like. do you like it? if you like, than i think i like it." not exactly helpful

LOVE IT! I wish it came in a rectangle because I would love it for my living room. I can see it working with lots of outside light.

If the rest of the decor is simple, I think it makes an awesome statement piece!
