How would I make these Snitch wings?

Now it's on to Ds1's party. We're doing a golden snitch cake and would love to make these wings but I have no idea what type of candy to use.

That's sugar art.

You need parchment paper or silicone baking mat, a design and sugar syrup heated to the hard-crack stage in candy-making.
