It's getting so I can't see so well up close. I have a pair of cheapo reading glasses from the dollar store i sometimes use when i am cross-stitching or taking care of DD's hangnails. I have an eye appointment today--I'm wondering what my options are going to be for contacts. How are my older friends here reading up close???

thanks for any advice.

I have slightly different prescriptions for each eye.

I just had an appt for the same reason. The doctor told me to buy reading glasses, that bifocal contacts leave a lot to be desired :-( Couldn't believe that I basically wasted the money on the appt.

I have a pair of reading glasses and a pair of progressives. I only need to wear them when I need them. Like any time I need to see a menu. No contacts though, as I don't need correction most of the time.
