I hate wearing hats. Really hate it. But I have gotten a couple of migraines lately and I think the sun may be a contributing factor. Even if it's not, my eyes are more sensitive to the sun for a day or two after one.

So i think I had better get a sunhat. Suggestions for a non-dorky and comfortable sunhat gratefully accepted.

Thank you!

I just wear a visor that is adjustable. I have a large head and have a hard time finding hats! I also like to wear a ponytail in the summer and visors allow me to do that. I did see some SPF protection hats at TJMaxx that looked cute if you're looking for full coverage.

Thanks! I have very short hair so I'm not sure I can pull off a visor--I think those look better with a ponytail.

I have this hat (http://www.rei.com/product/829907/rei-sahara-hat-womens) from REI last season, it's kind of a grey, they don't make anymore. I love the strap! I wear it every day in the summer--it's cool and comfortable. I get headaches too, but this hat and sunglasses are a big help.

ETA: I may get this hat (http://www.rei.com/product/827236/columbia-sun-goddess-bucket-ii-hat-womens), for when I want something fancier.

I have a pretty significant hat collection I have to admit. And, I always wear one to the beach.

The ones that I get most compliments from during summer are the ones I have from Helen Kaminski (higher end) and Peter Grimm (cheaper). I really love my straw cowboy hat and straw fedora from Peter Grimm (somewhat like these http://compare.ebay.com/like/300570665948?var=lv&ltyp=AllFixedPriceItemTypes&var=sbar and http://test.petergrimm.com/retail/ProductDetail.asp?div=FED&dpt=&ctg=&PROD_CD=PGF1170-CML)

My Helen Kaminskis are like this one by Eric Javits: http://shop.nordstrom.com/S/eric-javits-squishee-iv-wide-brim-hat/2894990?origin=related-2894990-0-0-1-1, and they are surprisingly stylish with the right outfit.

A lot of the boutiques by me have ones by Hat Attack, and there are a few that I really want from that brand. J.Crew makes some good ones, too.

I have a Walleroo Casual Traveler hat that i got locally--love it! it comes in tons of colors, is extremely portable/packable, and has SPF50. The lady who sold it to me said she washes hers all the time, but i haven't tried that yet.

Walleroo has tons of styles. I'm thinking about getting one of the woven styles.

I also have a baseball cap and a visor that i keep in the car for short trips, but when i'm going to be outside a while, i wear the walleroo (big brim).

eta: i just noticed the Mocha color Walleroo hat is on sale for $20 in the sale section.

I'm never leave home without a sunhat in the summer. I usually buy mine from TJMaxx, but I recently bought one at Target that is ok.

I have a brown and blue hat similar to this. I got mine overseas, so I can't post to the exact one http://www.amazon.com/Coolibar-UPF-Marina-Sun-Hat/dp/B00507CU8S/ref=pd_sbs_a_5

I find it's enough of a brim without being too big for daily wear.
