Explain sharing Amazon prime to me?

DH just discovered his e-reader. Long story on having the tablet for a while but just now getting into this. I lost my prime through Amazon Mom a while back and have only been tempted one other time to get it back.

How much can you "share" prime. DH and I have a junk joint account that we use to logon to Amazon so there hasn't been anything separate from us. But can we share with my mom or brother too? What parts?

Did you find this answer already? Only the main prime person gets the extra savings on diapers and the movie/book rentals. Others who share will only get the shipping. The rules says that you can only share with members of the same household although I know that people don't follow that.

If your question is about access to Kindle books and tv/movie viewing, only the primary Prime member has that benefit. I guess if they were willing to give you their email/password, you could access it as well but I'm not sure.
