Anyone familiar with St. Louis?

I am looking for a centrally located hotel for the Magic House and the St. Louis Zoo. Any recommendations?!

The Magic House is outside of town & not close to anything else. It is worth a visit if you will have a car. I have stayed at the Chase Park Plaza & liked it & it is close to the park/zoo.

Chase park plaza is gorgeous. It's in a very cute neighborhood (at least, was 10 years ago). You can walk to anything in the park from there.

We've stayed at the Hampton Inn and Suites Forest Park, which is relatively new, very nice and close to the Zoo. We also stayed several times at the Hampton Inn Westport. It was also nice and clean. It was cheaper, since it was not in town, but it was an easy drive to Forest Park, Magic House, Grant's Farm, etc.
