I woke up to some loud noises on my back deck...a mother fox and her babies have a den under the deck and this is the first time I've seen them. They went crazy this morning, playing tag, wrestling, they even were trying to go up the slide. It was like watching Animal Planet!

That is so cool! I know we have them around where I live but you never ever see them. They are one of those animals that fascinate me...and of course they are super cute!

DS is obsessed with this book called Fox by Kate Banks. It's about a fox and how his parents taught him to be independent. It's very sweet. ETA: meant to add that I can't wait to show him these

I'm so jealous. Guess what we have living next to our porch... wait for it... SKUNKS! We saw the hole and thought it might be rabbits, but no such luck. Now we're debating what to do about this stinky problem.

So, so cool! I love your photos.

We have foxes in our town and neighborhood and see them on occasion. Last summer we were leaving our local pool and saw a young fox on the sidewalk. We stopped the car and watched him catch what must have been a mole (so cool to watch how they leap up and pounce), eat it, drink from a puddle, and run up and down the sidewalk. We were mesmerized!

Enjoy watching your fox family grow up!
