Is this sale better than the EOS sale in June? I live near a retail store, so I'm trying to decide if it would be better to do the outlet sale plus shipping or retail EOS sale minus shipping.

Has anyone found any good deals so far?

Playdresses are $6 and bike shorts are $3. SJ's are somewhere around $16 or $18 depending on the print. HTH! I called WIlliamsburg and was able to get thru fairly quickly.

That's weird! W'burg had several colors in sizes 80 and 100 definitely but nothing in 110. Sorry, not sure about the other sizes.

On with Oswego right now. Almost nothing in 130s, some 90s left. (for 2011 pds, shorts and Ts). I asked about 100 and 120, just generally, and she says 120 is pretty slim pickings, 100 is a little better.

Update -- Williamsburg says it has nothing over 100 (for girls, I didn't ask about boys) from 2011.

FWIW, just got off the phone with Wrentham. PDs are indeed $6, but they mostly had solid colors left over 100.

Some of their 2012 stuff is a good deal. Got this swimsuit for DS for $13.xx:

http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC|8|1|156|46|7||&simg=38542_Q57

Little Tankers were $10.xx. Still more expensive that Carter's, but also nicer.

Finally, they have girl's swimsuits for $6, got a skirted two-piece and a one-piece, both in 90. He didn't have any 130s, but seemed to have at least some variety in sizes, as he had to search through for the 90s.

Is it possible that I am saying this: we have overflowing closets and everything we need from 2011? No way! I want 2012 PDs to come down to $10, and I want $5-10 survivor jackets, neither of which are on offer right now. The scooter skirts and Get Appy tees are tempting me, as also the $6 swim. I just can't deal with the phone stress right now!

ETA DId I really write that 15 minutes ago? Coz guess what I spent the last 15 minutes (unsuccessfully) trying to do...?

They usually don't the first day or two of a big sale. Lake Oswego usually doesn't either.

Woodinville answered last time a few weeks ago, and have in the past. Lake Oswego told me once that the best time to call is usually between 5 pm and 6 pm. I just got through for the first time ever to Michigan City on sale day. I just kept dialing all of the numbers until I got someone. And for west coasters Michigan City is now shipping on Monday.

I got the following stuff:

2 packs of classic XS panties, $7.40 each (one is pink, and one is blue prints; not sure if these were 2011 or 2012; don't care though they are for DD2 if she potentially potty trains in the next year)

1 Soaring tee in the blue print (2012), 120, $10

2 mix it up stripe short johns, 1 in 80, and 1 in 110, $18 each (2012)

2 other pink green patterned short johns, 1 in 80, and 1 in 110, $16 each (2012, I think, although I don't recall seeing this one in the catalogs; don't care they were $16)

1 pink stripe playdress set from 2011 in a 90, the dress was $10, and I think the shorts were $5. (this is potentially a gift for my cousin's 2 yr. old if it gets here by next Friday. If not I'll put it away for DD2 for next year).

Just curious, but what size are your daughters who is wearing 120 short johns are? DD1 is finally now officially measuring in 110 Hanna (although I have been buying it regularly for the last 18 months), but I am now wondering if I should get the short johns in 120 instead of 110. DD is 45" tall and 43lbs. She is still pretty petite.

DD1 is 48 inches tall and about 44 lbs. She's been able to wear 120 LJs/SJs since hitting about 46 inches. She can still wear 110s as well, although some things (scooter skirts!) are definitely getting short on her.

She could comfortably do a 120. I've been buying 120 LJ/SJ for my 42", 34lb 5 year old since Christmas. Because the waistband is snug, the bottoms don't fall off. They're loose, but don't look ridiculous. ;)

Thanks! That is what I am starting to think too so I just reordered them in a 120. I also went ahead and got 90s for DD2 instead of 80s because I remembered that the only other pair of 90 short johns we have are some I bought off Ebay and they were the old loose style so I don't think the current 90s will be as baggy as the old loose style currently is on her. She is still wearing her 80s long johns and 80 zippers though, but I'd rather get two years out of short johns vs. just one season. Thank you both so much!:)

I am mostly a Hanna novice, although I got turned on to the sleepers when I can find them at Costco. The only item that I'd really like to try for DD is the training unders. I watch you all go into a Hanna frenzy during these sales- can one of the seasoned experts give me more info on the training unders? Are they available during this sale? Does anyone have sizing tips? DD is currently in a 2t/3t. What price is a buy it now price (and does shipping negate the deal, anyway?). Thank you in advance!

I am NOT a Hanna expert at all (I buy at Costco and have made 2 orders from outlets) but I bought DD2 XS training unders last year for about $9 for 3 pairs, plus shipping. I got 9 pairs. So it averages a little over $3/pair. DD2 loves them the best and always picks her trainers, even now when she has cheaper Costco Disney Princess underwear. In retrospect, I'm not sure they really helped train her as she still had plenty of accidents. TMI, but when she had soft BM accidents I made myself clean out the trainers because I couldn't bear to toss them out. I happily tossed the cheap underwear when she had the accidents there. Just an FYI to consider.

Thanks for the heads up on the sale! I got thru on Monday night to MC and the sales assoc. pulled almost all the 120's from the clearance rack and went thru them with me...I've never had someone offer to do that before! Maybe my rambling about not being able to find my catalog invoked some pity.

I ended up with
3 pairs of bike shorts at $3 each
1 pair of sweats for 6
1 capri livable legging for $3
1 coral polka dot play dress for $6
1 play it again (I think) striped dress for $6
I "splurged" on a white cardigan for $18....my dd needed one and I love how soft the Hanna sweaters are.

My DD loves everything...so that makes it a winner.....she wanted to sleep in the sweats tonight!

I went to Wrentham today. I did not see any bike shorts over size 80 or 90. I should have asked, but forgot.

They did have unders for 3.20 a 3 pack if you buy 2 or more packs. I just hope I got DD the right size.

I returned two new stripped playdresses is a 120, with matching leggings. They were from 2009 I think I bought them from Kittery vis phone in 12/09. So I was able to get out of there for short $ :D

They had this seasons bathing suits and dresses that I recall seeing at the regular store. I got DD the sundress that converts to a skirt for $12

http://www.hannaandersson.com/style.asp?from=SC%7c1%7c3%7c24%7c25%7c2%7c%7c&simg=38847_73M Runnung along sun dress is $16.80

Although a few items didn't ring in as 40% off. I have some items on the receipt that say $12 minus $3.60 which is $8.40 or 30% off. It was bery confusing since nothing seems to be marked with the correct starting price.

But I'm glad I went. I should have gone the first day!

Hmm, I was just thinking it might be about time to look for a good deal on underwear for dd, who just turned two. I'm guessing we will give potty training a try in the next few months.

What do you all think? Do the outlets have the same underwear as the retail stores? Which style, classic or hipster? She is 27 pounds right now--extra small? Or maybe I should wait until we are ready so I'm not guessing on size?

Thanks!

I checked our packs. They had hipsters in the regular ones. I think they had trainers too, but I didn't look too closely.

I'm thinking DD won't like the hipsters - what do people usually buy for their DDs? I do like the weight of them, but they seem a little high on the waist from looking at them.

Do people like the classic better?

I put DD in the classic unders because I like the coverage (they are like boxers for little girls) and don't give her a wedgie :wink2: She likes them too -- this I surmise because she doesn't ask for the underwear she sees while we are out and about.

We definitely prefer the hipsters to the classic brief style. I think the brief style look more short-like than the hipsters do. The ones that were the 3 packs for $3.20 were solid colors from last year (light pink, darker pink and yellow and then the purple, green and turquoise). I only asked about hipsters and we just got 4 packs of mediums as we have more than enough smalls. My daughter is a size 100 but I figured we were going to need them someday and you can't beat $1!!!!!

Thinking about the solid PD sets although I passed over them when I called last week. I didn't realize unders were such a good deal. I have a huge stack of trainers but might go ahead and get a couple of packs of classics at that price. How long would XS fit? Or should I get S??

I didn't ask. But it was a mix of hipsters or briefs in the ones that I bought.....I figured how bad could the re-designed ones be anyway for $1/pair!

Thanks, OP! I ended up with 2 pairs of XS girls unders (1 pack of classics and 1 pack of hipsters) and a M boys pair ($7.20). I also found a pair of Big Sis LJs in 80 for $6!

Thanks for the heads-up on unders! I am on the phone right now buying some.

There's some trouble with shipping -- they started out trying to charge $10.95 shipping on a $22.xx order. The manager says it's because shipping is based on the pre-discount price. However, she said she'd fix it for me to be in like with the actual cost of my order. First time I've ever had any issue with shipping.

I had the same issue! Neither the clerk and I could figure out why it was charging me the wrong level for the shipping, so she manually corrected it.

Another one here with shipping issues. I was told that it was automatically generated since they're shipping to CA. I told them I never had that problem but they still didn't override it and manually correct it. I was charged $3 more for that and didn't argue more since I figured the undies can eat up that cost since they're pretty cheap.

ETA: Btw, I got a couple of packs of XS undies. Should I have gotten a S since it says they're until 3 1/2 yrs? Guess that depends on how early my DD is potty trained to make good use of it? Also, how many pairs should I start with? I think I got too much so I might just give 1 to my sis for DN.

How big is your DD now, and how has her growth trended? I ordered smalls for my 3yo, because she tends to be tiny. She's fitting comfortably into 90s right now (at 3 years, 4 months. She weighs about 30 lbs and is 36 inches tall, I think). I bought big because I want her to be able to get a lot of use out of them. But I haven't ever bought Hanna underwear before, so they may end up being way too big.

As for quantities, I think for a kid starting out in undies, a dozen pair is probably good. Allows you to do laundry once a week, with some wiggle room for accidents.

DD is about 19 lb. 29 1/4 in. at 16 mos. right now. She's more on the skinny and tall side of her growth rate but tiny co'z we're both tiny. She's still on 70 co'z I tried one of the 80 rompers and it's still on her knees. Like you, I want to be able to get a lot of use out of them so I'm not sure if I should've ordered a S now. Am I safe with an XS with DD's stats?

I ordered 3 packs so I guess that's not too much then. Thanks!

You are very safe with XS - they will be too big now, actually. They will last her a long time - my very tall DD1 wore XS till 3.5 yrs or so. She is a gigantic 6 yr old (wears 120s) and still wears her size small hipsters!

I went back to Wrentham and they looked up my receipt for my trip last week (I forgot it). The receipt showed the last marked price as $12 w/ 40% came out to $8.40 instead of $7.20. The tag on the clothing said $18. One SA said, "Don't bother to bring your real receipt as you got a great deal." I thought that was an odd comment, like she was implying I should have paid $18 less 40% ($10.80), but that is how they rang up.

Is it common that the outlet doesn't show the correct pricing on the tag? Most of the items I bought rang in differently (before 40%) than what was marked on the tag. Isn't it Mass. law that they have to be tagged with the correct price (mind you these are lower) as it is very confusing?

She also told me that the unders should not have been $3.20 and that I was VERY lucky to have gotten them at that price. I felt a little like she accused me of stealing. I said, "well the sales person specifically told me they were $3.20 if I bought two packs so I'm not sure what the issue is".

Anyway I know the store is new, and maybe they are working out kinks, but I found myself going back to buy more b/c the prices on the tag were so much higher than what I was charged (even before the 40% off). I'd love to know what others have experienced at other outlets.

Thanks!

Wow, that's annoying - and disappointing. I've usually not had comments like that - most CS folks are really nice at the outlets. But once in a while I have heard something about the great deal I've gotten (so don't quibble about being overcharged $2), or how much others spent on the sale (implying I'm not as worthy a customer). But in all the years I've been buying Hanna, the good CS far outweighs the bad.

That's just odd. When I was there (the same day you were, I think, based on previous posts), there was a sign posted right there at the registers indicating the $3.20 price w/purchase of 2 or more packages. She sounds a little strange.

I have been to Wrenthem twice and both times it was very confusing.
-I got once story about price from one clerk but was rung up by another who told me a different story.
-Things rang up wrong every time & I had to ask for corrections.
-At one point I was getting things for 40% off the 40% price. I didn't complain!
But, they are clearly a bit of a mess there.

The last time the outlets had a sale (that one was 25% off everything, I think), I ended up being overcharged significantly on everything I bought -- my receipt showed I got an additional 3-5% off, not the 25% advertised (most galling, I ended up paying more for one piece than it went on sale for on the regular HA site a few days later). I posted about it here, but I never called because I wasn't sure which price I was supposed to be getting 25% off of -- original price, outlet price, some other price? Now I am much more careful about checking how much things should cost before I call.

And yeah, it seems like they're still working out the kinks in Wrentham. When I had the shipping issue the other day, the SA first told me the outlets have a different shipping charge policy than the website, and that it was based on distance traveled and the weight of the package. I ended up speaking to a manager, who made it sound like I was incorrect on the shipping policy, but that she'd correct it as a courtesy.

Still, I have a hard time complaining too much. I figure it's super nice of the outlet SAs to be willing to "shop" for me, and I live in fear that one day that will stop.

I think we were, and yes there was a sign posted AND the SA specifically encouraged me to buy them! I wasn't even in the market, but as I was checking out she said "buy two packs and get them for $3.20". So it really isn't my fault that the outlet may have sold the unders at the wrong price when they practically forced me to buy them! ;) Now they probably won't fit right and I'll have to take them back. :hysterical:

Anyway, it's not worth it to quibble over $3.60 on my other items. I really just wanted to understand what the heck was going on and clearly the SA is unable to provide an answer (manager was not there). Seriously though, almost everything rang up at a different price than labeled. And some of it was more than 40% off so I'll just take my stuff and go quietly ;)

OK.....now I am wondering why I got such a good deal on all my stuff from Wrentham. Maybe she wrang everything up incorrectly too?

You would want get size 90, although at 2, most kids do better with long johns than zippers.

I have family members near 2 different outlets, and I'd love to order stuff and ask them to pick it up for me and hold onto it until I see them later in the summer. I called one and they said no, can't get anyone to answer the phone at the other one.

I live near an outlet and one time I asked them to hold two items for 24 hours till I could pick them, which they did. If your family member picks them up within the hold period I don't see why they wouldn't do it. Could you call and ask how many items they are willing to hold and do it that way?

One of the retail stores did a 24 hour hold for me during EOS. I was driving through the area but wanted to make sure it was going to be worth my while to stop by. Outlets might have different rules though.

How are the retail EOS sales? Comparable to the outlets? It's hard to imagine that the prices would be quite as low, but if they are maybe I will check it out. I live near a retail store, but sadly not an outlet.

Kittery did a hold for me the summer before last when my in-laws were headed up there, but they wouldn't let me pay for the order over the phone -- I either had to pay for it over the phone and have it shipped or have it held and paid for at pickup.

I'd be looking mostly for boys unders size small, short johns and T-shirts in 90-110 for boys. I usually wait for EOS and order online, but most of what I want is already out of stock.

I doubt it. Unlike companies who offer free shipping/free returns, they have no incentive to price adjust because if you bought again during the sale, you'd still pay to ship the first order back, and their shipping is so high. I bet your 20% off code expires Tuesday since the sale starts Wednesday. Unless there is something you're dying to have and it's low stock today, I'd wait.

EOS is in retail stores and online (so it probably should get its own thread.) Prices are as good as they get on retail but not as good as outlet prices and stock is limited especially is the popular sizes. If anyone has a free shipping code that may work, let us know!

As far as the sale been announced, I don't know, I'm in the mailing list but haven't received anything regarding EOS.
