Hi all,

I am the lone bridesmaid for my sisters wedding this fall. I am going to wear this dress in the navy:
http://www.anntaylor.com/ann/product/product%3A272391/AT-Silk-Georgette/Silk-Georgette-Draped-Back-Bridesmaid-Dress/272391?colorExplode=false&skuId=10562314&catid=cata000035&productPageType=fullPriceProducts&defaultColor=2439

What do you think for shoes? Silver or navy? I ordered both in this style from dsw
http://www.dsw.com/shoe/liz+claiborne+massey+sandal?prodId=166795

And then what color mani/pedi?

Last, would you hav a navy sash with my DDs ivory flower girl dresses, or have an ivory sash? Flowers will be all white/ivory, except for a little pale pink in DD1's headband (she insists...).

Thanks in advance!!!

If it were me, I would do silver shoes. I don't like shoes to match a dress anymore - reminds me too much of the late 80s proms when I always got shoes died to match my dress. And personally, I wouldn't wear navy shoes that much again (if ever - I don't own a pair now and pretty much wear my brown or tan shoes with my navy outfits) and I WOULD wear silver shoes a lot again all summer long, so that would be my choice. I would do whatever kind of mani pedi you like, regardless of the dress. It can go with any style. My style would be french just b/c that is what I like the most but honestly if you do different mani/pedis, go with what you would do so you can enjoy it before and after the wedding.

Love that dress. I like the blue shoes on the model but the silver ones in your link. Have fun!

Since the dress is so simple (yet stunning!), I would wear something really feminine but with a wow factor. Some ideas:

What a gorgeous dress! I'd vote for silver or champagne/ivory shoes (and love arivecchi's picks :)), and for the flower girls...navy sashes.

I love both your dress and shoe choices. I'd do silver shoes too.

I like the silver shoes best, but there are some gorgeous formal navy shoes as well - most of the dyed-to-match ones are pretty fugly, though. I'd pick some that were strappy, with some bling or something added to it. Pale pink shoes to go with the headband would also be a pretty pop of color (or maybe choose that for mani/pedi) and pink goes very well with navy.

for the sash, i think you could go either way. Whatever looks best on the dress. If you went all ivory/white, I'd probably do a lighter shoe, just so you don't look all over darker with lots of navy in the pictures.

Thanks, everyone! I will try the dress with both the navy and silver shoes when they arrive, but I am also leaning toward the silver. I wish I was better with heels, but I'm a wimp, so a lot of the bling-y shoes are out. I have these shoes in black though, and they're pretty comfy, so hopefully the silver ones wil work, too.

Stand by for an update.....

Agree with everyone else about the silver shoes. For your hands, I would go with a nude polish with a hint of color (Essie Ballet Slippers is a classic) and then a deep red/burgundy for the toes since it will be fall (Kate Middleton rocked that color this week in her two formal appearances). OPI Got the Blues for Red is a good color. Have fun!

I would pick whichever shoe looks better with the dress.

I would probably do a french manicure or a very light shimmery pink (natural like).

I would definitely do a navy sash for the flower girl.

:yeahthat: Leaning toward the silver shoes so you can wear them again- it's a more versatile color IMO.

Def navy sash for FG- helps unify the look!

Have a great time!

Generally I prefer to not match my shoes to my dress BUT in this situation, I'd be more apt to go with the navy shoe. It's more classic. You want these photos to look timeless, never dated and I think wearing silver shoes might date them when you look back in 5, 10 or 15 years. The more simple, the better imo.
