I just got the REI Anniversary Sale notice (May 18-28). Kids Newport H2s are $29.99 (4T-7T) and $36.99 (8-6 kids). Adults Newport H2s are $69.93, men's and women's.

6pm.com had the Keen Kanyons for $36 last week. They are a newer style... Waterproof like the H2s, full toe & heel coverage. I was told at store they have a new insole that is supposed to lessen the stinky feet. Normal price is $45.

I might call and ask Keen about that as this comparison chart from their website doesn't show any difference except that the Kanyon is $5 cheaper:
