I'm looking for a comfy pair of sandals for long walks, days at the zoo etc. I'd like them to also be ok in the water, since we often 'run into' splash pads, sprinklers, etc.

Keens are not really my style. I was thinking maybe Tevas- any specific water-safe styles to suggest? Any other brands?

Thanks!

I am looking for the same kind of shoe and just ordered several pairs on Zappos. They are coming today so I don't know how they look/feel yet. This is what I ordered:

http://vip.zappos.com/teva-zirra-black
http://vip.zappos.com/teva-kokomo-ws-black

The last pair--the Ahnu's-- have a microfiber footbed so I'm not sure how water friendly they will be. The Teva Tirra get great reviews.
HTH!

I would also check out Chacos. I love mine and they were comfy enough for a whole week at WDW.

I'm dying to try these Salt Water Sandals since they were featured on the Ain't No Mom Jeans blog a week or so ago:

I have the Chacos and Tevas but uses Chacos often. Had used in long hikes , in Disney and waterparks.
most comfortable sandals ever. Comes in different color combination, plus you can resole the sandals if it wears out.http://www.zappos.com/chaco-zong-ecotread-black~1

I've had a pair for a long time and love them. But I didn't know they were meant to be worn in and out of the water until now - thanks! BTW, they sell them at Stride Rite stores. Both adult and kid sizes. The bottoms are pretty smooth so if you're climbing rocks around tidepools, you won't have much traction like Tevas or Keens. Also no support on the bottom. But super cute.

I LOVE my Chacos. I've had them for over 10 years, and they are super comfy and I wear them everywhere in the summer. Supportive, comfy, waterproof, adjustable, and even kind of cute. Love them.

Thanks for the suggestions! I ended up getting a pair of Teva Tirra's. Very comfy. I've just been wearing them around the house, but so far so good.
