Wedding is on June 2 in Southern California. Reception will be at a private estate.

I'm so sick of looking for a dress. I am 3 months PP and losing weight fast. I don't want to spend too much since (hopefully) I will be a smaller size in a few more months. I have bought way too many dresses online and then had to return them because they didn't fit right. I made a super quick trip to Nordstrom today and picked up this dress in petite.

The colors/design look a bit better in person.

That's a pretty dress.

What time of day is the wedding? For an afternoon wedding here is SoCal, that should be fine. Evening, not so much.

I agree, for an evening wedding it's not the best choice. It looks like a daytime dress.

I tend to agree with pp. it is a bit too casual for a wedding. Rehearsal dinner yes, but not the actual wedding.

I agree it is a little too casual for an evening wedding. I think all of these are great choices. theriveria, Can you be my personal shopper?

She is good! And the prices aren't bad either. I go to Nordstrom's, I can't find decent a blouse for $118.

Ok. I guess I kind of knew it wouldn't work. Thanks everyone for the honest feedback! Back to square one.

Those are all great dresses. I was already eyeing the first 2. However they don't come in petite. I can wear some non-petite dresses...but these would hit me at a weird spot..like mid calf or something.

I might try nordstrom rack next week.

OH! I have another dress that might work?

I have this boden maxi dress in black. http://www.bodenusa.com/en-US/Womens-Dresses/Below-Knee-Dresses/WH323/Womens-Favourite-Jersey-Maxi.html

The other colors look very summery and casual. But the black one looks more formal. DH thought it was a formal gown when I first tried it on.

Would this be ok?

Ann Taylor has some petite dresses that might work. They have an extra 40% off sale prices right now.

Here's one, thinking navy:
