I am still losing weight from having DS and don't want anything with a fitted waist, yet don't want to hang out in sweats all summer either. I feel like an old lady asking this question, but does anyone carry decent looking pants with a stretchy waistband? :help:

I want recs, too! I'm wearing my pants with an elastic hair band through the buttonhole, but it's not comfy! I wish I could wear dresses, but nursing nixes them for me. I fear I'm in for an uncomfortable summer!

How do you feel about yoga pants? They're a lot cuter than sweats. If you belong to Costco, they have a capri version of the yoga pants that were offered in the winter. Someone on this board mentioned them and I just picked up a pair earlier this week. They're really comfortable, well made, and not too pricey.

I used to have a skirt with a fold-down waist in yoga-pants-like material from Lands' End; Old Navy makes a nice version of this as well. Pair it with a tee shirt and you're good! Would work for nursing too.

I know these are not pants, but here's the info on skirts ~

The ON fold-over jersey skirt is what I was thinking of:

My LE skirt was like this one:

Good call - I do have some yoga pants and like them. But what I really want (heaven help me) is something like the maternity pants I had last summer. They were cotton and long...or could button up at the bottom to become 'cropped'. Had them in a few colors and a bunch of cute tops to go with it.

Somehow my maternity clothes were more fashionable than others I've had in a while. That's just so wrong.

Would something like this work?

I have a similar pair of drawstring waist capris from ON and like them a lot but don't see them on their site right now.

Old Navy has some ribbed roll-up cargo type pants.

AT Loft has some capris that roll up, as well as shorter length casual capris. I think Loft is a great place for summer basics (t shirts, little dresses, capris, shorts if you wear them). Everything is always sale (pretty much at regular Target prices), it's stylish enough and not a huge financial commitment.
