I'm looking for a dress for a rehearsal dinner. Is this too juvenile? (http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/bcx-dress-sleeveless-pleated-sash-floral-print?ID=657275&CategoryID=18109&LinkType=#fn=BRAND%3DBCX%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D28%26rul eId%3D2%26slotId%3D9)(I'm in my mid 20's for what it's worth!). Would you wear it?

ETA: There's this one too (http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/bcx-dress-sleeveless-sweetheart-pleated-floral-print?ID=640155&CategoryID=18109&LinkType=PDPZ1)but I didn't see it in-store. The top one I saw in-store this morning.

I think it looks like something a teenager would wear.

Yes to both. Walk away from the juniors. :)

I think the second one is less juvenile.

It's cute but probably more for a teenager. But I can see it still working well if you are petite.

I am a larger framed, tall, busty person and neither would not work on my body type.

My sister is almost 25 and she would wear both of them. I am almost 35 so probably not the best length for me, but seriously I think they are a okay for some one who is in their mid 20s, and in good shape. I say go for it!

My sister is 5'9", slender (about 150), flat chested, and often wears wedges or heals with that kind of dress as well.

Hmm, I think they can go either way. If you were 24 and finishing up your undergrad degree, I think it'd be fine. But any older than that and it starts to look like you're dressing a little too young IMHO. Not as in it's too revealing, it just has a certain (as you put it "juvenile" because the last time I used that word I got called out) feel.

It looks too juvenile to me. Sorry. I think it's the black top of it does it. If the top and bottom were both white, I don't think it would so odd.

Yes, I think it looks better for someone 10 years younger than you...at most for a college-student type of person. The sweet border print and big bow in the back on the first one make it look particularly young. The second one is a little better.

Ugh. I'm in the fitting room right now trying to decide. You are all prob right it's to juvenile. I am in great shape and can pull it off but I'm not trying to look any younger! Too bad for a $25 dress.

A great body looks even better in clothes that are just right. :) Head over to The Limited- cute stuff there and not "old".

Yeah, I feel like I'm in the middle. Young, good shape... but still a mom and a doctoral student and professional. I fear dressing too old!

I think the fashion world is your oyster but best to move out of juniors stuff. :). So many good choices for the next age group up, IMO. Eta next time you are at Macy's, try the INC stuff. It's trendy and fun but not trying to be young, and not old. I think you are the target demographic. :)

Haha, I know that in my head... but I was lured by cheaper prices! I do like INC, I should stick there.

Totally agree. Even if you're in great shape, sometimes Juniors clothes just don't look right. They also tend to be not as well made.

I do want to say that I don't normally shop Juniors... I just happened to find that dress mixed in with the other clearance dresses and gave it a shot! :)

I agree w/pps, try something other than juniors. I saw the material is poly too, which I don't care for.
