I am struggling to find a spot that is out of site -- will they dry under the sink on a hook? Other ideas?

i always wash them cause of germs/bacteria on the rags so for me they go straight into the wash.

I use this...

or the handle on my dishwasher.

Mine get draped ontop of the drying dishes in the dish rack. Not very elegant. . . . Have you checked out the kitchen forum at gardenweb.com? They are kitchen obsessed and you will find whole threads on this topic.

I have two of these (similar anyways) on cabinets near the sink. Bed Bath and Beyond had some options too, if I remember right.

I bought a bathroom towel bar that matches our hardware and mounted it on the kitchen island. I've done this at my last 2 houses and have gotten compliments. I've also mounted bathroom hooks on the other side of the island. You can get some pretty sleek looking hardware.

Ok thanks all. I maybe just need to buy nicer kitchen towels. My current towels are a mish mash of random tattered towels. I'd be embarassed to have them out often.

I use microfiber car cloths for everything kitchen related. I also keep one hung by the sink for drying clean hands and another by the stove for wiping the cook's hands. I use these triangular pinch holders but scrapped the crappy adhesive pads they came with (used goo gone) and hung them up with two strips of command adhesive.
