A friend who goes twice a year just came back with this info..

I guess when you got a Fast Pass you used to be able to come back whenever you wanted, not specifically within the hour specified..but around Spring Break time for Space Mountain and Splash Mountain -if that what it's called, they were told that you had to come exactly during the specified time.

Not sure if other rides were impacted.

Yes, sad but true for all FP rides. There's a 15 minute grace period, now which according to the Disney forums like disboards, is pretty strongly enforced.

Bummer. That would make it much harder to navigate the parks and get on all the desirable rides without waiting in line.

We went in April and the new policy was in effect. It wasn't too bad, actually. We were able to make it back for all of our FP times. However, I think the system will make things more difficult when the parks are more crowded.

There's going to be a "next generation" fast pass roll out later this year, or maybe next year (can't remember exactly when). That's why they have started enforcing at WDW.

Good news for those of us who love Walt's Park (Disneyland), the fast pass system hasn't changed there. Times aren't enforced at DL!

Its not a new policy, they are just now enforcing the times on the FPs whereas in the past they were not enforcing the times.

Lots of people never knew that FP times were not enforced and stuck to the hour window on their FP.
