Anyone's DH love his backpack?
DH wants a new one for father's day. He is really into bags. and has several backpacks, messenger bags, briefcases.

I think he wants something like this- I think he likes the look of the straps, but wants something easy to get things in and out of. He also wants it to be able to hold a laptop and ipad.

Timbuktu is a good brand. I also like Crumpler.

DH has this North Face and he likes it a lot. It isn't the exact style he is interested in, but it hold lots of gear and is light weight. He got it at REI. It might not be this exact one as he got it 2 yrs. ago.

Elektra, thank you, thank you! A new daypack is exactly what DH needs for Father's day! I'm hoping to find Eagle Creek or Arc Teryx on sale. Maybe we can post here if we find any deals?

Eta My DH wants one for day hikes, not work, and he wants an all black pack.

My DH has a bit of a bag fetish, and is really into Tom Bihn these days:

He convinced me to even buy a back pack from TB for myself for an international trip last year. I will agree with him that it's super functional (I think I ended up with the smart alec) and holds a ton in addition to my laptop, but it's very....masculine.

Before he got into TB, he was really into Manhattan portage: http://www.manhattanportage.com/catalog/

If you like the Timbuk2 check out the offerings from Chrome:

They can be a bit pricey, but they are built to last.

These are great suggestions! I love the photos on the Chrome site showing all the beer in the backpacks! LOL!

DH has an Oakley backpack and it's seriously comfortable. That or Tom Bihn.

I bought this a while back for DH and he loves it. It's the llbean quad pack:

That looks great. Is there an llbean code floating around?

This is the one we ended up with. I sent DH all of your links and then after going to REI he picked this one. It seems pretty cool! http://www.rei.com/product/836578/ethnotek-tek-thread-laptop-travel-backpack

For day hikes, you might want to look at Lowe Alpine. We have older versions (and different colors) than this:

And they are 10 plus years old, have seen tons of use, and are still going strong with nary a zipper or seam issue, ever.
