We have re-occurring strep at our daycare for months now. To the point that everyone at daycare was required to be tested. However, the testing is quite pointless and new people get sick and it takes 2 days for symptoms to show up and some are asymptomatic.

One of the moms in daycare saw this product on Amazon, which sounds really good. I wonder if it is too good to be true- anyone use it?

I have not used it, but I see it only tests for Strep A. That's what usually causes strep throat. But I had strep last week and the nurse said they've been seeing a lot of Strep G going around. Usually it's not so bad, but the strain they're seeing is as bad as Strep A. I don't know if I had A or G, just that I had strep. So if you decide to get it, I would make sure what is going around is what it is testing for.
