Where do you keep your dc's hamper? Punkin has one in his giant closet but Book's closet is really too small. I'm planning his "big boy" room and am unsure where to keep his hamper.

We just have G's in his room right next to his dresser.

At the end of DC's bed near the closet. That's where she gets undressed.

DD1 - in her closet. She just recently moved it there, used to be out in her room.

DD2 - right outside the closet door, it won't fit in the closet.

DS - Next to his changing table, but will move to the closet when he's older.

My 3 yo and 1 1/2 yo share a room and their hamper is a travelling one! :D I put it in one place (sort of out of sight and hopefully out of mind) and the next morning it's moved across the room with clothes strewn about. Definitely NOT my ideal situation... I probably should buy one with a lid on it and little heavier so it wouldn't be a toy.

Peanut's is between the door and changing table. Stachio's was between the door and bed until he turned it over, stepped on it and broke it. Now he doesn't have one and we just throw both kids clothes in peanut's hamper. It works out since we often change both either in the bathroom which is right across the hall from Peanut's room, or on the changing table in peanut's room.

There definitely isn't room in either closet.

In his closet. Could you get a cute wood hamper like this (http://www.best-b2b.com/userimg/1118/1127-2/wood-hamper-818.jpg) and use it as "decoration" in the room?

It was in DD's room, next to the stack of plastic drawers where I keep diapering stuff.

HOWEVER, I just caught her climbing on it, so it's been moved out to the hallway.

In the jack and jill bathroom closet, on the bottom, below the shelves. Both kids share one.

Found a rolling basket that fits perfectly, so it's open top, and i put a container store laundy bag in it as a liner.

In the bedroom next door (guest room/office). I can't do laundry after DD goes to sleep if her hamper is in her bedroom!

DD has a big closet and that's where it is.. Before we moved, I was just dumping her clothes together with ours in our hamper, I'd do maybe a wicker basket with a lid next to the dresser.

By his changing table. Growing up my mom insisted that dirty clothing be kept separate from clean clothing and this meant no hampers in the closet. I've kept the habit as an adult.

Currently in my bathroom since they take baths and get ready for bed in there.

We have 2. One is in the entry way of our house. I found the kids spent a lot of time getting dressed downstairs and they never took their clothes back up. The other is upstairs in the hallway. DS1 uses this more these days.

There are laundry baskets in their closest. It is getting cozy in there, but I don't hang much, so they baskets are stacked on top of bins of seasonal/grow into clothing.

Our laundry room is also on the first floor, so there is a sorter in there and another basket in our master closet (which they use when taking baths in our bathroom).

So clothing ends up in all three places but eventually makes it to the laundry room to get clean.

My girls don't have one. They used to, but I moved the whole families clothes to one light, dark and whites basket. Ours are located in the hallway.

Our place is small, so we have DD bring her dirties into our room and the family shares 1 hamper. It's been her first "chore" to do this nightly.

My kids don't have a hamper in their room at all. Our laundry room is upstairs and we have a huge 'family hamper' in there where everyone has to come and put their dirty clothes and towels. Makes it easier for me not to have to go collect everything....

DS does not have one. He splits his dirty clothes b/w a plastic basket that sits on top of the dryer or washing machine, depending on what color clothes I am accumulating in the washing machine for the next load (right now it's whites). Our laundry closet is between our bedrooms on the 2nd floor.

We don't have a hamper either, and never did. I don't think it's a must have.

In a weird corner of DS1 and DS2's room, where it wouldn't be usable for any other furniture. We use that hamper for all 3 kids, even though DS3 has his own room.

they move around a bit. Often there is one at the top of our stairs and one in our bedroom and one in DS1's room (where they both sleep). We have about 5 of the little IKEA collapsable ones which are easy to take down to the laundry area and back up again.

I have two hampers; one in DS's room by his changing table and a bigger one in his bathroom for bulkier stuff like towels.

We keep one in the kids' bathroom and small ones in the bottom of their nightstands.

The laundry room is right across the hall from dd's room, so there is a small basket in there that is for her dirty clothes. the closet in her room is too small for a basket.

DH and I have a walk-in closet in our room and there is a basket in there for our dirty clothes.
