I know this is a random question, but we are in a townhouse and are having some sound issues with the wall that we share with our neighbors.

I was letting DS2 CIO last night (he's perfectly capable of STTN), and when I went into his room to check on him, i heard the neighbor banging on the wall. I felt really bad bc we just moved into this house neighborhood 2 months ago, and I didn't realize how thin the walls are. I understand that it is annoying to hear someone else's baby cry in the middle of the night, but babies cry.

Has anyone bought anything/applied anything to their walls for soundproofing?

TIA!

I soundproofed our furnace room with Roxul. Bought 2 bundles at Home Depot for around $160 which was enough for my 8 x 10 area.

Since the game room/home theater area is next to the furnace room it got distracting during quiet sections of movies when the furnace or hot water heater kicked on. Made a big difference in our case and was worth the effort.
