Any suggestions for a DVD video to keep 3.5 yr old DD entertained while I put my 5 wk old DD to sleep?
Something educational and/or entertaining. Not just songs. She already knows how to add, subtract, count to 100, and a little reading. She likes princesses, Elmo, mickey mouse.

Or even something that teaches something like dance/ballet? She has learned a little ballet and loves it.

Hopefully this will keep her coming in the rm w/ me and waking LO just I get LO to sleep!

Ds2 is a fan of tv shows on Nick Jr. And PBS Kids. Are those choices?

Movies- he likes Pixar and Dreamworks movies.

Not educational but DD loves the Tinkerbell movies. We get them from the library.

What about Angelina Ballerina from PBS? I haven't watched the show, but I noticed you mentioned ballet. DS also likes to watch the Berenstain Bears.

The Leapfrog videos are pretty good, especially the Letter Factory and the Talking Words Factory.

Signing Time (http://www.signingtime.com/)? We checked them out at the library before purchasing any. My Favorite Things, My Neighborhood, Zoo Train & Leah's Farm are some favorites.

Leapfrog Letter Factory is another good choice - it's all about learning the sounds the letters make.

Curious George. Kids relate to his antics and it's gentle and non-commercial.

DD loves PBS shows and some Nick Jr choices.

Really loves Busytown Mysteries- Richard Scarry shows- there are usually 2 shows in about 24 minutes. The characters solve mysteries and look for clues- it's pretty good!

DD is almost 4.5.

My son also loves Busytown Mysteries (though I don't know that it teaches much)

Sid the Science Kid teaches science stuff. Including reading charts (got my son interested in the calendar) and how to test a theory.

Sid the Science Kid is great.
We also are really enjoying getting The Magic Schoolbus DVDs at the library.

Not sure if your beliefs, but my dc like The Little Angels DVDs. They are Bible stories.
