What's the difference between the Mon Premiere folls and the Les Classique dolls?

Ok, I think I may have figured this out. The Les Classique dolls all seem to take batteries and "do" different things (cry, giggle, coo, etc). Is this right? Which ones do kids like best?

Les Classique are larger and heavier, Mon Premiere are perfect first dolls being a good size and weight for toddlers (even though my preschooler still plays with her's every day).
