I have been seeing the Yonanas machine for sale in our Wegmans. Has anyone tired it? Can I make the same sort of product using my food processor, or is there something the Yonanas machine does that a food processor doesn't?

Yes and love it. Even DH when I put peanut butter added in. I think the consistency is different that a food processor and with the Yonanas machine matches soft serve ice cream.

A Vitamix can make ice cream from a banana, but not a food processor.

I don't know how this new machine does it, but the vitamin can through sheer horsepower. I guess a commercial grade food processor could .

A friend of mine got it for Christmas. Apparently the consistency is the same as soft-serve ice cream, but you better really love the taste of bananas, because it's hard to cover up with other fruit.
