Nail polish on carpet

I just knocked a bottle of hot pink polish on my carpet! How do I get it out?

What color is the carpet? I think I'd start with nail polish remover if it is a lighter carpet (test in an inconspicious area if you're concerned about fading the carpet color). Otherwised I'd go for Goo Gone or De-Solv-It??

I had this happen once. I used Mother's Auto Upholstry cleaner. I was out of carpet cleaner and this was all I had.
