Walmart has glue sticks for .10. Stock up!
Ooooh, really? Are they Elmers brand? Singles or double pack?

****************************
ETA:
Never mind, I found it in-ad. Looks like Elmers single sticks. I swear glue was much cheaper in the past, wasn't it? I want to say it was .22/2 at Target, regular price last year, but maybe I'm crazy. This year it's .50, so I plan to jump on the .10 stuff. Thanks MomtoNico! Same thing with crayons too. Aren't 24 packs usually .25? .50 almost everywhere this year.

Anyway, Walmart also has .97 Crayola markers and colored pencils
2.27 for a 10 pack of Ticonderoga pencils
2.50 4 pack of thick, black Expo dry erase markers
.17 notebooks
.50 composition books
.92 binders, 1"

Walmart $.10 glue sticks are Elmers brand. They aren't even in a package, just single small glue sticks in a bin. Also, at Walmart got 4 pack Expo dry erase markers for $2.50 (I think that's a good deal), RoseArt large washable markers for $.50.

Walgreens
*Keep in mind though that it's typically a pain to shop there, you have to take the ad with you, hunt down everything, and watch the prices as they ring you up b/c there is almost always something that will ring up wrong

http://walgreens.shoplocal.com/walgreens/default.aspx?action=entryflash&

.39 pencils, pencil case, pencil sharpener
.39 index cards and index card case (that's usually the best deal I see on them- they are great for flash cards)
.49 notebook
.69 composition book
.49 Wexford 5" scissors
$5 12 pk Sharpies (all different colors)
2.49 BOGO 2 pk black Expo markers (4 total)
$3 printer paper
.79 jumbo glue stick
12.99 kid's folding table, $20 2 matching chairs

Staples
$1 Zebra Z-grip retractable ballpoint pens, medium daisy or animal - Reg. $4

There is a $2/1 printable coupon for these - Staples doesn't give overage, but the cashier should be able to adjust it to $1 to make them free.
(Sort by the All You Exclusive coupons to find it.)

Is this a good price? I need to stock up for school supplies. IIRC last year they had a mail in rebate, so it was free... I think.

I guess it depends on how badly you need it. I would probably hold out, but the deals in general don't seem as good this year IMO, so we might not get a free paper deal like last year.

It was .25 last week. Based on the past couple of years, my guess is that they'll do some type of paper deal almost every week, and it will be .25 or $1 AR most weeks. We might get one free one, but I'd jump at the .25 ones. I have a pretty big stockpile so I'm going to be pretty selective.

Just in case anyone else is curious, here is our thread from last year:
http://windsorpeak.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=403051&highlight=glue

Apparently, glue sticks and crayons were .40 last year at Target, so I guess I'm thinking of two 2 yrs ago.

Do you guys know when Walmart restocks their school supplies? I drove there yesterday as soon as I saw this thread, and when I arrived, was bummed to see a lady with 2 full carts of supplies. Needless to say, the shelves were wiped out. Do they have a restocking schedule of some kind?

Anyone know if washable Crayola markers & crayons ever go on sale? The regular ones are often on sale, but I haven't seen the washable ones, which I need for my young kids.

TIA! :)

I just bought these yesterday without the coupon, bummer! I think the coupon might be gone though?

Does anyone know if Staples tracks the $1 and 1 cent etc. deals to your rewards card? I got the limit on a few things yesterday, if I went today, could I get them again or do I have to pay without my rewards card?

I bought the 15% savings pass and the clerk said it can be used once a day so if I can't find everything at one Store I really can't go until the following day for another.

I love the binder recycling program! They have 2 inch binders for $5.99 so with $2 off it is only $4 and I need to organize some of our paperwork!

Yes, sorry - it looks like it's gone. I have the coupon but no pens to buy. Staples was out of *all* of the good sale items when I went yesterday. :irked: Supposedly a truck might come in on Thursday.

Office Depot has them for $2, but I'd wait since you can pretty easily get them for $1 during BTS sales.

I got DD's yesterday at Walmart for 1.50. $1 would have been better but I wanted to get it all over with. Her list was short, and we had some left overs from last school year.

This isn't a deal for this week, but you might want to call now to schedule it if you're going to participate:

Do glue dots go on sale? DS is starting preschool and these are on his list. I don't even know where to look for these. Does Walmart carry them or just office supply stores?

Walmart/Target have them. Usually In the scrapbooking section. You could get them at Michael's or JoAnn's with a coupon. Hth
