So fall lines are starting to come out! (Yay, a way to take my mind off this disgusting heat wave!)

What do you have your eye on?

I am wanting this Rachel Pally dress (the whole outfit actually!):

and drool, my weakness, coats:

Great picks! I love coats too, but my husband bought me a Burberry coat for our 7th anniversary last year (traditional gift: wool) so I feel like I can't ever buy myself a coat again. While I love it, I would love to have 6 coats in rotation!

That Rachel Pally dress, and yes! the whole outfit, is gorgeous! I'd never think of a maxi dress for Fall, but it makes sense, especially as a layering outfit. I find maxi dresses kind of hot in the summer--prefer something shorter.

Hopefully by the time September roles around I will have a real job and therefore can afford to expand my work attire. I'll be looking for wool pants, blouses and button down shirts that actually fit well, and knee length skirts to pair with my boots.

I'd love to find some nice cozy sweaters that aren't wool but it's tough. Something like this Vince blanket sweater in a nice heavy, non-itchy fabrication.

I love this! There is nothing better than wearing a blanket when it's cold out! ;)

I don't know but somehow I don't want to wear a blanket when it gets cold. I'd rather wear a fitted leather jacket or jersey wool peacoat. Something soft, warm and body consious. I think I would look like a bit fat square in that Vince coat that would hide my curves. And I don't need help from horizontal lines (on the other Vince coat) to look any wider. Am I missing something, or it is just not for my body type?

I want some tweed for fall. This DvF skirt (http://www.dvf.com/Magdalena-Skirt/S5402701L12,default,pd.html?dwvar_S5402701L12_colo r=BLWHI&cgid=mh-punky)is not quite what I am looking for, but getting there. I'd all over it if it were a bit longer and cheaper.

Not the same colors, but I ordered this skirt during Nordstrom Anniv. Sale pre-sale. I don't have it yet...should be getting my package today.:

That's a cute skirt, and, course, it's already sold out in every size but 14. Also, I'd prefer to get one in grey tweed.

Just got an email from Tony Burch that they running 20% off sale items. This (http://www.toryburch.com/DEIDRE-DASH-TWEED-SKIRT/11121343,default,pd.html?dwvar_11121343_color=961&start=68&cgid=sale) tweed skirt caught my eye. Would love to see and try it in person. Maybe I'll be able to swing by the boutique after work.

I think *everything* looks amazing on you arivecchi. You can probably wear a real blanket and still look hot.

I can make any pair of shorts looks positively awful with my skinny chicken legs! Try Vince stuff though, I really love the casual but nice feel of it. I have found some amazing deals on ebay and nordstrom rack.

Looks cozy, but I think it would probably look dumpy/sloppy on me, I definitely benefit from fitted shapes.

Since I'm pregnant not too much clothes shopping, although I will need to buy a couple things to get through the summer, which often goes til mid October here. So I'm watching shoes, since my feet fortunately didn't seem to change that much first preg. Despite the fact that I know I won't wear them until Oct/Nov, I'm a bit obsessed with boots right now...I'd like a midcalf pair in some sort of brown color family, although that's sort of silly, since I probably will be mostly blacks/grey for the preg warddrobe. And I'd like a shorter pair/booties in black/burgundy/or camel for jeans, etc. I put a whole bunch of possibilities in my zappos favs the other night, but can't seem to bite the bullet....it is july.

I ordered a gorgeous ankle wool skirt from TB during the winter sale and it was not lined. Total bummer because unlined skirts get stuck to my tights.

loving the cut and color of this JCrew collection dress but as my work is casual I wouldn't have many places to wear it

It really doesn't work for all body types. I love it, but my sister would hate it (we are opposite body types). Love tweed skirts.

Good point, I also prefer lined skirts but for a different reason. I think they give me a more streamlined look. And you were right, this TB skirt is not lined. I stopped by a boutique hoping to try it on. They did not have it in stock, unfortunately, since it's from 2011 fall collection, but the sales lady had one (at home) and told me that it's unlined. So I decided to pass on it.

I was returning items that did not work out at Nordstrom and saw the beige Vince coat. You never know for sure until you try something like this in person. Plus arivecchi encouraged me to try Vince stuff ;).

Turns out my intuition/knowledge of my body was spot on. It was huge and shapeless on me despite the fact that I tried it in size small. To make it look more or less decent, I'd have to nip it in the waist, so either have it altered or wear with a belt. Given the price and the fact that it was a little bit itchy, I did not think it was worth it. I did like how soft and light the jacket was, and the colors were nice.
