Blended learning?

Has anyone here heard of this system where they mix traditional classroom learning with computer based and project based learning? I'm probably not describing it correctly, but I'm curious to learn more about it. Does anyone have a child enrolled in such a program for K-6?

I think they do that in Singapore and no I don't have a child enrolled in such a program.

It's not exactly that, but dd's teacher gave her a number of projects that she researched and did on the computer last year for 3rd grade. She is gt, so she would finish her regular work, or if it was too easy, teacher would just tell her to work on her project instead. she LOVED it and hated doing "normal" work/worksheets! If I could enroll her in a whole system like that I would in a heart beat.
