:yeahthat: I hate buying index cards, I a going to try to get as many as the limit will allow. This is the first yr I'm just smartening up and not buying the oxford ones that the school states on the list. They use these cards for flashcards, like they cut and paste the word onto the card. I don't see why any old cheapo index card wouldn't be completely OK, and I notice that other parents must feel the same way when we go to the open house before school starts and the bin is basically mostly generic index cards, not the oxford ones. I guess I was the dummy who shelled out the $ for the oxford ones.

Just came from Staples. Index cards are limit 2 with $5 purchase. Makes it really hard to stock up. :irked:

Buy 1 of the pencils for $4 w/$4 rebate, 2 packs highlighters for $.50 each, and 2 index cards. Then, do 1 of the pens that are $4 w/$4 rebate, 2 packs highlights, and 2 index cards. Total OOP is only $2.04 +tax and you get 4 packs at least.

Yes, that's what I was planning on doing. Part of me wishes I had just bit the bullet and bought index cards at Walgreens for .39 last week. Would have been less of a hassle.

Boo! I may wait for something better, since I don't think I will be buying $5 worth of stuff. I do want to go to walgreen's though, since they have some good deals this wk.

Do any of you know, when they say at the bottom of each of these specials on the staples ad, "Limit 2 rebates per household," does that mean limit per wk or for the entire season. I ask, since I'd like to stock up on printer paper. However, I already bought two reams of paper last wk, so if I buy more, does that could for an overall limit or do you start a new limit each wk. Sorry, I realize that my question probably sounds really confusing.

It's usually a per item limit. They'll have different rebate offer numbers.

I just found a $5 off $30 coupon (http://akimages.crossmediaservices.com/listingimages/Retailers/Staples%5Cevent_images%5C175x175_060131_New_Site/07_22_Page0_FLYER_OLC.pdf) for Staples. Does anyone know if they would do a price adjustment?

Oh and I forgot about the pentel pens, so scratch the idea of not meeting the $5 min, I probably can. Those are my one of my favorite pens, somehow they make my handwriting look nicer!

And if your local store is anything like mine, you probably want to check out with the circular in hand so they will honor the prices that do not ring up correctly or aren't posted as such. :tongue5:

No kidding! They are the absolute worst. Half the time you can't find the stuff at all, and 75% of the time you have to argue to get the right price. How they are still around is a mystery to me. I'm still debating whether or not the deals are even worth it. I've avoided them so far this year.

I found a deal for Staples (don't know if this has already been posted). I saw that Saveology has a $15 Staples gift certificate for $7.50 (new customers).

I bought one (still have to wait the 24 hours to receive) and will be using it this summer to stock up on back to school items. Will make the deal even sweeter.

Now off to check Walgreens ad.

No Office Max (or Office Depot) where I am. That is a fantastic deal, though.

I am coming kind of late to this week's BTS thread, but I bought Elmers glue sticks pkg of 6 for .99$ (normally around 3$) at Target this week. My local Walmart has a bin of individual Elmers glue sticks for .10$ (found in the BTS section), but the darn thing is always empty. This is the best deal I found recently, so I pulled the trigger. hths

Any deals on pencils? That's all that's left on ds's list and I haven't found a price I like yet. We need 24, and no brand requirement, but I feel like I should get them way cheaper than I've seen so far.

The last 2 years, Walgreen's has had the Ticonderoga
Pencils on sale for 10 @ 99 cents. I'm
Waiting for that deal.

Looking for deals on card stock? DS needs white card stock, they didn't specify amount. I was shocked at the price at the office stores. Anyone know of the best place to get this?

JTsMom

Michaels has card stock, and you can use a 40% coupon if it's not on sale.

My Office max had 2 24 pks of Ticondergas for $5.

Costco had 7 or 8 dozen of them for under 10$ Costco was slightly cheaper per pencil.

I only needed 24... Walgreens never has stock near me on those sales, they sell out immediately. I need to go to downtown if I want Ticonderogas at that price!

I think it's 3.99 w/out a coupon at Michaels. It might be 4.99, but I don't think so.
