I'm exploring right hand rings... anyone have one they love? I don't want it to look like an engagement ring, but I do want something nice, but that can also be worn daily. Any ideas? Not sure what's trendy, classic, etc.

This http://m.buy.com/product/details/216879007# is almost exactly what mine looks like! I don't wear much jewelry but love this one!

I wear an antique ring from DH's great aunt (I think she inherited it from her MIL, if I remember the story correctly. It's similiar to this: http://www.emmaparkerdiamonds.com/diamond-halo-engagement-rings/antique-style-halo-pave-set-diamond-engagement-ring-setting.php but according to the appraisal it's set with an old european cut diamond (which looks different than the round brilliant in my engagement ring).

I really adore this setting. I understand that halo settings and the side pave might be trendy for engagement rings right now, but I'm not really bothered by that. My actual engagement ring is the plainest setting imaginable, so this is looks nothing like it!

If I was picking out something for myself, I really like the triple roll/russian wedding ring style: http://www.bluenile.com/tri-color-gold-rolling-ring_21260

I love it. Probably even more than my engagement ring. Get tons of compliments on it.

My mother always wore a right hand ring with a birthstone from each child. I am not a jewelry person myself but I have always liked the sentiment. I believe she had it designed by a local jeweler.

:yeahthat: If I got one I would want emerald and diamond for my kid's birthstones. It helps that they have nice birthstone colors, some months wouldn't look as good together.:wink2:

My kids' birthstones are diamond and pearl, so I'm lobbying for a mothers ring. ;)

Ooh, I like this. To me, anything with a raised center stone (diamond or otherwise) looks like an engagement ring. Though I do like the idea of getting something with DD's birthstone... but according to a quick google search that would be citrine, which I'm not particularly crazy about.

Not sure what you mean by not looking like an engagement ring. Do you mean you want an engagement ring that doesn't look like one? Or a non-engagement ring that doesn't look like an engagement ring?

I have a James Allen eternity band for an engagement ring, and I don't have any other wedding ring. My ring doubles as both and it's beautiful, but some people aren't sure if it's an engagement ring or wedding ring. These are what diamond eternity rings look like, by the way:
http://www.jamesallen.com/wedding-and-anniversary/Ladies-Eternity-Rings/

because of the uniform design it works on both hands too.

sound like a ring without one prominent diamond is what you want. maybe a plain metal band or one with tiny diamonds embedded in it, but nothing with an elevated stone.

what i think of engagement rings, i think it's the "elevated center stone' that makes it look like an e-ring.

Good luck!

This site says November can use the Topaz or citrine. Topaz comes in a whole range of colors so that gives you a lot of options for your ring.
