I would like to get DD an outdoor chair that we can take when we go for outings. I like the stability of the sling chairs, but I don't know how it would be on uneven grounds.

What chairs do you have for your 3-5yr olds?

Also does anyone have this chair from KidKraft. If slig chairs are safe I'm looking at these:

PBK have Freeport folding chair and umbrella for $10(can't beat the price) which is a great price and seem more suitable for uneven grounds. My fear is that as a 4 yr old she's going to be getting in and out of the chair all the time and I don't want it to topple over.

Thank you

I actually bought my 2-year-old a "camp chair" which is like the PBK Freeport chairs you linked.

She climbs into and out of it all the time. We've used it at our town fireworks display (grassy park, very uneven ground), a dirt parking lot tailgate (fairly uneven ground) and at the beach (the legs stick in the sand, making it a lot more stable than the park or the lot!) and she's been fine.

Frankly, I'd go with the camp chair over the sling chair, though, because it's more stable and it locks into place (really - with ours, you have to press a release button on the frame to fold it) rather than the sling chair which may or may not lock.

I paid about $10 for the chair at the grocery store (originally was sold for $15) and my mom found another one for about the same price for use at her house. It's been a great deal so far!

Thanks, I'll go for the PBK chair I guess, not the colors I want for a girl but can't beat $10
