Yay! H&M has lots of great basics for kids, and they rarely run coupons on entire purchases. I'll be making some visits to the H&M stores soon...

Thank you! I was hoping one of these would come out in time for our tax free shopping days!! I was in there a couple days ago and bought DD some clearanced shorts for $3-$5 for next year. I didn't hesitate because I knew they won't be there by the time I get to shopping with this 20% coupon. We bought loads of new school clothes last tax holiday as well with a 20% coupon. Saved a lot!

Can someone fill me in on what are some "great basics for kids"? Are they more for older kids or do they have good staples for younger toddlers as well?

They have great stuff for baby-teens. fashion forward kid clothes that hold up well.

I love...
hoodies in every color
boxer briefs for little boys
straight leg jeans that have ribbed waistband (great for potty training!)
hats
sunglasses

They just have cute stuff, and it's got a european sensibility... not everything for babies is pastels.

Yeah, and *great* prices! I got DS (age 1) a couple of l/s v-necked sweaters last year for like $6.95- awesome! :jammin: They were super cute & classy, too- just plain brown or plain grey (they also had navy).
If your kid(s) like Hello Kitty, they have a plethora of stuff with HK on it! I'll have to hold my daughter back from buying it all up when we go shopping for back to school.

Some of their clothes are online, so you can check it out and decide if you like it. Sizes are from newborn to older kids. I echo a previous poster who said the basic t-shirts that come in packs of 2 are good deals:

You may want to use the site's store locator to confirm if your local H&M carries kid clothes.

Great! Thanks for sharing. I've got some store credit from there that I need to use and love buying DD stuff there.

Thanks for sharing. Got both kids some cute stuff for super cheap, including heart patch pull on jeans in a 7 (totally Boden knock-off) for $10. It is hard to find pull-on jeans in that size. I should have bought two. They are super soft and light too. I wished they needed more, but it is difficult to buy Fall winter in 100+ degrees.
