It is such a PITA to find, isn't it? I had one kind of bread I used to get for Lula but then they changed the recipe and added milk so I gave up and bought a bread making machine. I'm sure it isn't what you want to hear, though. ;)

Our dd is gluten and casein free, her favorite bread is Udi's (for white or whole grain). Rudi's (another brand, lol) has a good raisin bread that she enjoys also.

Sigh, we used to like Panera white whole grain (that they use for kids sandwiches) but that bread is no longer on the menu and the replacement has milk.
So now it is a whole wheat bread from the groc store. I can't remember the name.

My son is gluten free, and the best taste/consistency is udis, which I think is also dairy free.

Nature's Own 12 grain is milk free I believe. And maybe their whole wheat. It's sold at Wegmans and Target here.

ETA: I was checking to make sure it is dairy free, and I came across this link. Hope it helps:

I'll second Nature's Own. My DS is allergic to milk, and we use Nature's Own white wheat bread. It's fortified with calcium, too.

All 3 of our kids are now casein and gluten free (recent test results showed sensitivity to both which is very common with Lyme due to the inflammatory response). We have been using the Udi's Whole grain. It is a bit pricey and must be kept in the freezer.

I gave up looking at the grocery store and just started buying my bread from Trader Joe's. They have at least one bread that is dairy (and soy) free. My sleep-addled brain can't remember which one, sorry!
