We decided that DH would take the position with the contracting company and we have 6 months to move. They gave us a nice moving package but I am still scared. He said he will still keep looking for a position in our current city for at least 4 more months but I have a feeling we will be heading to Atlanta. On one hand I am actually excited to be somewhere new but then scared because it is somewhere new and I am away from my family.

Wow, good luck with the move. I was hoping that you'd get to stay, since I know that is what you would have preferred. Hopefully, your move will be a good experience, look at it as a way to make new friends and set new roots.

Good luck! I've visited Atlanta, and even though I hear the traffic is pretty bad, it's a beautiful place.

I've lived in FL and Atlanta too. Both are nice in their own way. I think you will find that you like GA a lot though. It is really nice having seasons, and there is a lot of fun stuff to do with kids in Atlanta.

One other thought- didn't you VBAC with TT? Our local ICAN chapter is awesome. Might be a good way to meet some friends. :)

I know that's not the outcome you were hoping for, but Atlanta really can be a nice place to live. I have been here (northeast suburbs) for 12 years, after growing up in Louisiana. It takes some getting used to, and can be fast paced at times, and, yes, traffic can be a nightmare, but it's a beautiful city, the weather is great, and people are, for the most part, very friendly. I hope, if you do end up here, that you can find an area that suits you and your family.

:wavey: Welcome! Let me know if you ever want to get our 7 yo ADHD boys together!

:hysterical: This is the best greeting I have ever seen!

Thank you all for the support. Now I have to figure out what to do with our home here. We can't sell it because it's underwater and I would love to keep it but do I really want to rent it out?
