Lakeshore is having buy one get one 50% percent off Regular priced items thru this weekend. Not sure if you need a coupon. I received an email with a link. Anyway, they have Magnatiles class sets at their full price, so if you want two class sets you can get them for 194.92 before tax (free shipping) making them less than 100 per set.

i noticed this email last night because i have been wondering about requesting a second set of tiles from the grands for DD for christmas....

unfortunately, the 100 set is no long 20% (i thought that was supposed to go through early sept?). but it is fortunately for those who want 2 sets because, they can get the 50% (which is a better deal than the 20% was-- works out to 25% off each set.)

but...i don't think you still get free shipping? hrm.

i am *pretty* sure we don't need TWO more sets!

I was wondering the same thing. By the time they add shipping and tax is around $250, which doesn't seem to be any better deal then anywhere else I look.

This was me too. I agree that they are an awesome toy. Since they arrived, DD has played with them every.single.day! I'd like to get another set for Xmas, but I'm not willing to pay more than about $100.

i think the shipping kills the "deal" -- i was happy to get ours for 103 plus tax with free shipping. we actually have a store, so it might be okay if you have one and can go physically pick up the item. ours is about 40 minutes away, but still better than paying shipping, esp. if we're combining errands (trader joes is in that neck of the woods)

still-- my child can't get 200 dollars worth of magnatiles this christmas even though she's also a december baby. i just can't justify it. i told dh i was just about done shopping already (i've resolved to do some clearing out and am NOT adding anything else unless there is a specific , reasonable, santa request)

my mother in law could give her this, (and spends that much), but i just don't think she'll get excited about an idea that's a "add-on." besides, there has been talk of an ipod touch.... ;)

Just wanted to pipe in and say if you have kids over often, this is the ultimate toy! My niece and nephew are here now- ages 3 and 6- and they have been playing with the magnatiles (with DD- 3.5) for the last hour! I am wishing I had another set right now...

Thanks for the info. I checked out the discount school supply. Actually, I'm charged tax and fuel surcharge so not the best deal for me. Ebates gives 3% back though. A decent deal if your state is exempt.
I paid about $111.00 shipped at Lakeshore after tax. I am thinking I should have placed 2 orders. My kids loved them. Oh, well...

I went to Lakeshore today to do a craft with my boys and the 100 set of magnatiles were 129.95 and were 20% off, no coupon needed. I got it for $103.98 plus tax which was the same price as the OP posted. I asked and they said this sale is running until Sept 2nd. :)

I also had a coupon for a free teacher's calandar/plan book and today only gave out a free reuseable bag if you sign up for texts.
