My stylist, whom I normally really like, colored my hair today and left huge dark stains on my hairline. Any suggestions for getting rid of them?

Generally, I scrub them with a washcloth to get some of it off with a bit of shampoo or conditioner. But generally it washes off the next time I wash my hair.

If all else fails I think I remember seeing packets of remover at Sally's.

No experience, but I was about to color my hair myself a few weeks ago. I did the allergy skin test first, as instructed, and quit because the dye left a huge stain on my arm. It took about a week to go away. I googled tips about the product before deciding it was not for me and wrote down these stain removal tips:

"...anyone with hair color stains on their skin should try a dab of Comet -- just enough to scour the dye away."
"Clorox works on the tub, the sink and the floor (where mine ended up)"

Hehe, I gave myself a widows peak yesterday with hair dye. It looks better today though. That's why I never plan anything immediately after getting my hair colored.

Windex is my go-to for removing hair dye. Oddly, enough.

astringent...or toner
I've used clean and clear astringent with good results

That made me laugh and think about that movie My Big Fat Greek Wedding where the dad thought everything could be cured with Windex.

Rubbing alcohol works really well. Put some on a tissue or cotton ball and rub. You may have to do it a few times. Good luck!

Per my good friend who does hair, Windex is what they in hair salons, although it is usually in an opaque bottle.
