DS is almost 25 months old. The last few days he's been coughing at night and naptime and when he's in the carseat. I also noticed he's a bit drooly. I'm wondering if he's getting molars and the coughing is because more saliva is running down his throat. He doesn't have a fever, it's not a productive cough, and he doesn't do it when he's upright. Does that seem like a reasonable explanation? We are visiting family next week with a newborn and I don't want to expose the newborn to a possible illness but DS isn't acting sick beyond the cough when he's not upright.

DD coughed a LOT whenever she was teething, because there was so much extra mucus. Coughing and a runny (clear) nose.
