How are your investments doing - I'm talking long term stock market investments, but not 401K. More like individual stocks for long term growth, mutual funds, etc.
I'm thinking of finally investing conservatively and long term, but I just really hate letting cash go. But an interest rate of 0.5% isn't cutting it either!

Good. Buy and hold. Don't try to time the market. We are in for the long haul.

Not so great, but I just hold, hold, hold. They'll go up again.
We don't own any stock per se and we buy in to mutual funds for the long haul so I do not track them closely at all. Last time I checked they were trending with the overall market.

Ours are up pretty significantly, well above the market. About 2 years ago we went to a financial planner/investment person and we have been very pleased.
And I know you didn't ask about 401ks, but ours have basically recovered from the hit they took in 2008-09.
ETA: We own very little in single stocks. Mainly in companies that DH and I used to work for that we had stock options in. Mainly this is mutual funds.

Don't have any right now. I had to cash everything out last year in order to make up a shortfall on the sale of a house we owned. :(

:yeahthat: That's where we are too - I told DH to stop reading me the statements!
