DS3 is having a sea turtle themed birthday party. I've gotten some great decorating ideas and the activity will be swimming in MILs pool which has sea turtle "murals" throughout.
I want some awesome food. Really tasty and feels um "sea turtle-ish"? I'm thinking tropical/luau feel. There will be about 20 kids and 15 adults. I thought maybe we could grill up some salmon or shrimp, have lots of fresh fruit salad, lots of "greens" maybe in cute presentation.
I'd welcome any ideas.
Thanks!

How old is your son turning? Just trying to get an idea of how adventurous the kids in attendance might be with their palates. ;)

Just noticed the other day that Juicy Juice juice boxes fruit punch have a sea turtle on the box. Very cute!

We did a turtle cake for my second son's first birthday. I found it online and Grandma made it.

There is a Japanese bakery I know that makes really cute turtle shaped buns. A friend gave them out as favors once and I thought it was a great idea (the asian ones are filled with azuki beans and delicious!). It probably wouldn't be hard to make something similar to serve and you could even use pillsbury rolls. https://www.google.com/search?q=watanabe+bakery+turtle+buns&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&hl=en&tbm=isch&source=og&sa=N&tab=wi&authuser=0&ei=r68pUMqNEIn2iwLRgoDYBA&biw=1260&bih=706&sei=u68pUJDBNqGyiQK6uIHoCw
