I need to read the research paper carefully to figure out if effects are seen at relevant concentrations, but this confirms my gut feeling that I don't want triclosan everywhere -

The link is only the abstract which doesn't provide the parameters of the clinical study. You would need to look at the clinical in it's entirety to determine the validity. The abstract does state that part of the study was done in vivo which is good.
