I am thinking of getting white furniture. And doing underwater/finding nemo theme. Do you think this could work for a boy or a girl?

I used this theme with first DC as we did not find out the gender before delivery. When DD was born, I added some pink accents and some sparkly blue curtains, and it turned out really cute.

When DS was born, we were able to re-use the same theme, so it worked out well for us.

Sounds like a fun, gender-neutral theme to me!

I did one for ds1. We didn't know gender. I thought it was super cute and fun.

You have to get the crib aquarium! http://reviews.fisher-price.com/6194/41856/reviews.htm My DS2 told me he used to have a fish tank in his crib when he was a baby. I was shocked he remembered.

I think it would definitely work for both. For DS1's nursery I made 2 fish mobiles. I made a DIY version of the Flensted Shoal of Fish mobile to hang over the crib (http://www.amazon.com/Flensted-Mobiles-Shoal-Fish-Mobile/dp/B001FAZTCS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1345435339&sr=8-1&keywords=flensted+mobile). and I also made a small "nemo" and fluffy coral mobile to hang over the changing station. I used tissue paper from gifts we got from the baby shower to make the coral.
