My not even, but nearly 10 year old is starting to develop acne already! He hasn't had a major breakout yet, but I can see all of the little bumps under his skin that look like they might surface anytime. So far, it has just been one or two little pimples, but from the looks of his pores, I'm thinking it could become a much bigger problem. I have battled acne my whole life, and DH had it moderately as a teen, so I can't say that I'm surprised. But, 10 seems very young! Is it premature to take him to a dermatologist? I think he needs to use something different to wash his face, but acne products seem so harsh for such young skin, so I'm not sure what I should give him to use. Anyone else experience this with their child at such a young age?
