I'm a total worry-wart, admittedly, but my mom went to urgent care today for abdominal pains. She has an infection of some sort and has to go to have an ultrasound at the hospital. Please think healing thoughts for her, she is my rock and best friend :heartbeat:. Nothing slows her down, but this is the second time this year she's had something like this, and I'm afraid it's kidney or liver problems...we just moved here to be closer to my parents, so at least I'm here to help, which provides some degree of comfort.

Well, it's an appendicitis. At 75 no surgery is insignificant, but it's welcome news as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the good thoughts everyone! She'll have surgery tonight, I expect.

Funny kid story--we are living with my parents right now (they are going to downsize, and we are going to be staying in their house). So, mom got home last night at 9pm. DS at 2:30 am went down to mom and dad's room and dad found him smiling standing next to her bedside. I don't know how he made it all the way down there without waking me! I guess he wanted to check on her.
