you mean the old-school Thomas table (not the TRU one)...like this:

I have no idea where you could get a good deal on that..they're pretty pricey when i looked into last year (at least $200). and the $299 doesn't even include the playboard which is another $50 (eek).

I know you said no CL, but honestly i'd be willing to through the hassle to save a few hundred.
