Ride safer vest

Does anyone know if these expire? Someone locally is selling one used for $50 and it looks to be in great shape, but is several years old. We're going to be traveling a bunch in the next two years and thought this would be a good alternative to lugging a carseat for DD1. Has anyone here used one?

We have one and I seem to remember they do not expire. We use it rarely. We keep it in DH's car because we only have 2 seats in there and if we need to put all 3 kids in, this is how they fit :). It works well and the kids like it. But, it's not easy to do in-and-out trips. I wouldn't want to run errands with it on!

Yeah, no expiration. If it hasn't been in a crash or bleached in the wash, It's probably safe, and a super easy travel option (I agree, not great for running errands, we had to use one when house-hunting once, I ended up just leaving DS---playing with a nintendo DS, lol).
