Parkway SG mesh fabric itchy??

What's the deal with the pink, mesh fabric on the pink sky Britax Parkway SG? The pink part actually feels prickly. It has raised/itchy tiny little threads (not visible) all over. DD commented on it being itchy when she sat in it in the house. It's almost like the fabric wasn't trimmed or buffed. (I know that sounds silly.) I'm almost thinking the fabric is faulty.
Is this normal? Will it get better if I wash it?
Should I return to amazon or call Britax?

Hmmm... my kids have been sitting in/on mesh fabric for years and it's never been a problem. I think I might call Britax, it might be easier than shipping back to Amazon, if they just send you a new cover.
