I have always loved Vera Bradley. I am finding that the quality has gone down quite a bit in the last couple years however. I love some of 31gifts stuff (like the retro metro and the demi purse), but other stuff (like the crossbody organizing purse which did not hold up at all, or my skirt purse which is really just okay) is eh. I know JuJuBe is introducing a hobo (though not in prints I love, well except the TokiDoki which is really cute but not sure it is a look I can carry off). LeSportSac seems to not be in prints I love and has dark linings.

So what am I missing? Not super expensive (like $100 or less, preferably considerably less), can hold a larger wristlet (has 2 smaller wallets inside plus tissues, pens, lipstick, inhaler, epipen, etc), pretty, washable, light interior. Maybe a tote or crossbody/shoulder bag.

I don't have any Vera Bradley (I suspect it's regional... not really common where I live) but I do love more modern prints.
I have an Orla Kiely midi sling bag (oilcloth or laminated canvas) that I love but it's a bit pricier. I find I reach for it over some of my "nicer" leather purses as it is so lightweight and I love the elastic key holder. It's a couple of years old but similar to this:

I've also eyed the Boden oilcloth bags... one of my friends has one and it is cute!

SIL gave us 1154 Lill bags for being in her bridal party... If I was decisive enough to pick fabrics, I would totally design one of these:

Have you heard of 1154 Lill?

http://www.1154lill.com/

Women owned business. You can actually design your own bag (pick your fabric and style)

Baggalini doesn't have patterns but has tons of colors and styles. I love their big hobo style.

I love my fossil bags! I'm outgrowing Vera bradley. The fabrics the past few seasons have been nms and I agree that the quality has gone. The fossil keyper series is so cute. I wish I could buy up the entire collection!

I love the bags at 1154 Lill, however prices are way out of my range. Maybe when I grow up and get a "real job" as my friends say (meaning I will get paid more, lol).

I will check Baggalini again. I know I sometimes see some at TJ Maxx.

I am sure VB is pretty regional! I love the Orla Kiely and the 1154 Lill bags, but too pricey. I had forgotten that Boden does bags. Their clothes do not come in my size, so I had stopped looking at their stuff.

Oh those are cute! Are they heavy or light? Love the Keyper Tote (http://www.fossil.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=12052&langId=-1&catalogId=25005&partNumber=ZB5232P&cm_vc=PDPZ1) with the crossbody strap, the pockets, the prints! So cute!

Second vote for the Key-per collection by fossil. Love them ... I get many compliments on my Key-per crossbody (bird pattern).

I have two Orla Kiely bags and I really like them, in fact my Orla shoulder is my to-go bag. I also have a Boden cross body and Fossil Key-per cross body and I like Orla much better- softer oilcloth fabric, love the key holder, and the pattern is a bit quieter than Boden and Fossil, so easier to wear. I do like them all though!

I have had VERY good luck searching ebay for 1154 Lill bags. I bought 2 of mine for less than $35 each. One still had the tags. I think people go to those purse parties and it is so fun designing their purse and then they never end up using it (or if they've used it, only a couple of times.... so they are in great condition). I use Lill bags every day - I love them!

I just got my Tokidoki x JuJuBe Hobo in Iconic and it's awesome! Really fun to wear! :)

I'm getting a Tom Bihn Small Cafe bag I think....maybe the medium. I'm still perusing their Flickr sets. Tons of pictures of people using the bags IRL.

Oooh, that's pretty! I have never met a fossil key-per that I didn't like, lol. The sales lady and I at Macy's were joking that once you go, "fossil," you can never go back. I found that our Macy's has a really awesome collection of fossil AND sometimes they go on deep clearance. I bought my favorite fossil purse for only $25, which was amazing. It's this one, and I get compliments EVERY time I use it...

The key-per purses have a laminent coating on it, but I don't feel that it looks like cheapy plastic, it's not super glossy and it has held up really well. It is not as light as a VB purse, but also nowhere as heavy as a leather purse. I am pretty picky about wt of purses (I'm also a lesportsac fan), and the wt doesn't bother me. Go to Macy's and check them out. Fossil also has plain fabric and leather purses as well that are also very nice, but I really like the quirky prints of their key-per collection.

I've had 2 Lilybloom purses from Tj maxx for about $25 each. Made from recycled bottles and washable. Fun patterns.
