My friend sent the following, any ideas?

"... I am working on a project for school in which I identify all the various existing programs out there that give money back to schools. I have so far the following: Target (credit card), Giant (A+), Box Tops,... looking for any and all to research - I heard today that there are some retail websites where your online purchase can earn box tops for your school..."

Any ideas?

I know Campbell soup had a program years ago
French Toast uniforms has a program

I know she is not looking for "Fundraising" ideas, just ways we can get the school more based on how we spend our household money.

Certain local restaurants in our area will do nights where they give a percentage of their sales to the schools.

Our PTA has an Amazon link on their website. If you click through their link to make a purchase on Amazon the PTA gets some money.

This is the Campbell soup program you're referring to, I think:

Possibly Coke points ( mycokerewards.com ). I know you can donate points to charity, I thought you could participating schools too, but I'm not certain on that.

many grocery stores are part of eScript http://www.escrip.com/
boxtops has a site like Ebates but the money goes to the school's account http://www.boxtops4education.com/earn/marketplace/Default.aspx

Good Search (I think). You add it to your browsers' tool bar and Internet searches performed through it = money.

Company matching! A few companies match their employees' donations. So if we donate $100 to DS's school, DH's workplace matches it $100.

Yes, schools can accumulate points to earn items mostly PE or craft stuff. It's a lot of work and you'll go blind entering all those codes. It takes about 5000 points to earn four balls so she'll need to decide if it is worth the effort. I do it for our school and most people give me their codes rather than enter and donate them. Entering coke points is how I spend my tv time.

eta: if she (or a volunteer) is willing to organize, you can get cash back for Capri sun pouches, or used up pens, or a variety of items. Have her check this out - http://www.terracycle.com/en-US/brigades.html

I love this idea. How does one get started with this? I cant find any links to do this on the amazon site.

Great Lake Scrip lets your PTO buy gift cards for a discount and sell them for face value.

This is the affliates program that pulled Amazon into so many states via click-through nexus - here's the main page and you can peruse from there.

https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/

I know Amazon stopped in several states at one point due to the click-through nexus laws but I think they are back in business in most.

Mamasource by Mamapedia (a site like Groupon and Living Social) gives 5% of your purchase value to the school of your choice.
