Pork tenderloin ("oven-roasted flavor") in sealed, unopened package. Use by date of September 13. I forgot it was out in our garage fridge. Wondering if I could cook it up tonight.

Hmmm...I'm usually a "keeper" but I don't know about that. Is it manufacturer-sealed, or was it wrapped/prepped by your grocery store butcher (in a styrofoam tray)? If the latter, I'd be less inclined to keep. You can definitely open it up and smell it--an off smell means definitely toss. However, it sounds like it's pre-seasoned and I'd be a little worried that the seasoning might mask the off-smell and make it harder to discern with a sniff test.

5 days past a use by, not sell by, date with pork.... I would probably not.

Hm. ITA with PP. It's a use by, not a sell by.
I'd toss.
