redish...gunk...from either DD's mouth or nose...call doc?

this evening DD woke up around 5:30 - mild fussing...not even really. i went in to her almost as soon as i heard her waking b/c i was anxious to feed her b/c i had an appt at 7.

anyway, got her out of the swing and out of her swaddle. changed her. all was fine. she was in a pleasant mood.

sat down to nurse her and noticed some red gunk on the edge of her bib.

then looked up and realized there was more of the gunk on the swing headrest...

so something definitely was coming from either her mouth or nose - she must have been turning her face into the headrest and it also dripped a bit on her bib

i just looked at it again on the bib and the swing back - so it's several hours later. if it were blood, wouldn't it have dried brown by now?

it's still kind of tacky and this weird kind of cranberry color

would you call doctor tomorrow? i mean, she seems fine. it's just...weird

Maybe it's mucous mixed with blood? Snot plus blood?

Dark earwax? I and DS1 have dark brown ear wax...even though I clean out my ears every day! Sometimes I see it on DS1's pillow when his ears are draining. I even found a giant wax ball once that was the size of a pea.

Do you or DH have dark earwax?

Several times mine spit up blood they had swallowed when my nipples were cracked.

Me too, it scared the cr@p out of me, until I realized it was my blood.
